Publication Ethics
Private Law Insight is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and maintaining integrity in academic publishing. The journal adheres to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to follow ethical standards throughout the publication process.
Duties of Authors
- Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration elsewhere.
- All sources and references must be properly cited and acknowledged.
- Authors must avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication.
- All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research must be listed as co-authors.
- Authors are responsible for disclosing any conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation of their work.
Duties of Editors
- Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased publication decisions based solely on the academic merit of the manuscript.
- Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and not disclose information to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.
- Editors must ensure that all manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.
- Editors must take appropriate action if ethical concerns or misconduct are identified.
Duties of Reviewers
- Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use the information obtained during the review process for personal advantage.
- Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Duties of Publisher
- The publisher, Akademisi Ilmu Sosial Analitis, supports the journal's efforts to maintain the highest ethical standards and will take all necessary steps to address ethical issues and misconduct.
Private Law Insight takes publication ethics seriously and will take appropriate actions, including retraction or correction of articles, in cases of proven misconduct.
